  • Manipulado: “Iodeto de potássio 500 mg, lactose qbp 1 cápsula. FSA e mande em nº de 90”
 
Dose
  • Síndrome de Sweet 900mg/dia
 
Indicações
  • Eritema nodoso
  • Esporotricose
  • Sweet
 
Side effects:
  • GI
  • bitter taste
  • enlarged salivary glands and salivation
  • urticaria, angioedema
  • iododerma
  • acneiform eruptions
  • hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism (reversible) → avoid if pre-existent thyroid condition
  • hyperkalemia → avoid in cardiac disease, addison disease, those taking ACEi and K-sparing diuretics
 
Pregnancy class D → positive evidence of human fetal risk (from human studies or experience) but might still be used if benefits outweigh risks in serious conditions where safer drugs fail, like life-threatening illnesses
