- Dorsal hand - classic “ringworm”
- Palmar hand - dry, scaly/keratotic form
- Looks like they have chalk on their hands
- Frequent hand washing with irritant contact dermatitis predisposes patients to tinea manuum because destruction of skin barrier
- Typically have 2 hands and 1 foot or vice versa affected in keratotic type
- Nails often affected
- Orals typically needed, recurrence frequent
- Tip: tinea of the hand doen’t exist without tinea of the feet
