Etiology
- Chemotherapy (in particular cytarabine plus an anthracycline)
- Bleomycin
- Imatinib
- G-CSF
Conceptually similar to Sweet Syndrome
Clinical presentation
- Erythematous, often painful papules and plaques
- Distribution: face, upper trunk, dorsal aspect of the hands
- Timing: 7-14 days after initiating chemotherapy
Histology
- Neutrophilic infiltrates around and within eccrine glands (where chemotherapy is excreted)
