- Associated with 5-FU, but also with other chemotherapies (bleomycin, vinbastin)
- Hyperpigmentation along the superficial venous network
- Appears during the first cycle and disappears several months after treatment is stopped
- Caused by extravasation of the product via an alteration of the vascular wall, leading to an alteration in melanogenesis
